C. 1920 German Issmayer Tin windup Boy pulling Girl in Cart Tin Toy

View my other auctions for more German tin and other antique toys being listed. Nice early German tin windup toy. The 7″ long x 5.75″ tall toy is a combination of lithographed tin with painted tin legs with original paint. When wound up, the mechanism works with the wheels rolling along. The metal rod holding the boys legs together is broken and needs to be repaired for the toy to properly work as his legs would have’walked’ as the toy rolled along (now they don’t stand with this rod broken). It is missing one tin cross bar across the top back of the cart. It does have some overall wear, some flaking to the painted tin legs, and some bends to the tin carriage frame with a few tabs unslotted as shown.
